First Article Prize - 2016 Awardees

The Council for European Studies' (CES) First Article Prize Committee is pleased to announce Odelia Oshri (Hebrew University of Jerusalem) and Amanda Lee (Colgate University) as the winners of the 2016 European First Article Prize.


Lee won the European Studies First Article Prize in the Humanities for her article "The Romantic Ballet and the Nineteenth-Century Poetic Imagination," published in Dance Chronicle: Studies in Dance and the Related Arts 38(3) in 2016.

Oshri was awarded the 2016 European Studies First Article Prize in the Social Sciences for her article "A Community of Values: Democratic Identity Formation in the European Union," published in European Union Politics 17(1) in 2016.


The winners have been notified and will receive $500 and public recognition on the Council's publications.
