Restructuring CES Individual Membership Dues

Dear CES community,

I am writing with an important update to our individual membership due structure.

Effective March 1, 2026, CES will update our individual membership dues and structure. We are adjusting pricing across individual income bands and introducing a new membership category for retired faculty. These changes will result in small increases to membership dues for some, but not all, members. We remain committed to keeping dues low for students and early career researchers. CES student memberships are not changing and remain lower than they were prior to 2016. These updates are necessary to ensure the organization’s long-term stability, particularly given that membership dues have not been increased in over a decade.

Individual memberships are the lifeblood of CES. Your dues directly support grants and awards for graduate students and early career researchers, professional development opportunities, and other core programs. Your continued engagement helps our transatlantic networks thrive. We are deeply grateful for your support.

Effective March 1, 2026:

Student membership$50
Retired Faculty (new category)$75
Under $50,000$75
$50,000-$74,999$100

Thank you for your continued membership and your support for CES. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to memberships@ces-europe.org.
