The Council for European Studies’ (CES) First Article Prize Committee is pleased to announce Helen Cushman (University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill) and Lara Minkus (University of Bremen) as the winners of the 2018 European First Article Prize.
Cushman was awarded the 2018 European Studies First Article Prize in the Humanities for her article “Handling Knowledge: Holy Bodies in the Middle English Mystery Plays,” published in the Journal of Medieval and Early Modern Studies Volume 47, Issue 2 in 2017
Minkus was awarded the 2018 European Studies First Article Prize in the Social Sciences for her article “A Trump Effect on the EU’s Popularity? The U.S. Presidential Election as a Natural Experiment,” co-authored by Emanuel Deutschmann and Jan Delhey, and published in Perspectives on Politics Volume 17, Issue 2 in 2019
