Speaker Bios:
Aidan Regan is Professor of Political Economy at University College Dublin, where he leads the ERC-funded research project Democracy Challenged. His research focuses on corporate tax avoidance, wealth concentration, and the politics of advanced capitalism. He is co-author of Growth, Democracy, or Climate Action? The New Trilemma of Advanced Capitalism (Agenda Publishing, 2026).
Georg Picot is Professor of Comparative Politics at the University of Bergen in Norway. He is specialized in comparative political economy, with a focus on labour market policy, industrial relations, and party politics. His research has appeared in internationally renowned journals, such as American Political Science Review, Comparative Political Studies, British Journal of Political Science, and Journal of European Public Policy. He received his PhD from the University of Milan and has worked at the Universities of Heidelberg, Oxford, and Manchester.
